My grandfather and mother both had hearing problems. My mom used tiny in ear hearing aids. They were almost invisible, and needed regular battery changes. They were never as good as the larger hearing aids. I understood how people with hearing issues do not want to wear obtrusive devices, and it seems to be a decision between hearing well and looking good.
