As a six-year Marine Corps veteran and current Air National Guard member, I know what it is like to go through the VA. It may not always be the greatest experience but I have used some of their services and may be able to provide others with guidance. These include education benefits and health services through the VA.

My father was a veteran. It took us seven years for him to get into the VA Alzheimer's program. The physician was forced to resign after my sister asked for demographic data on the race of individuals in the program. Once she resigned they were able to take care of more than three times the number who had been cared for the previous ten years.

I am a 24(+) year veteran of the US Army. I am currently the County Veterans Service Officer for Walworth Wisconsin. I am accredited to provide advocacy, advice, and assistance to Veterans and their beneficiaries by the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Military Order of the Purple Heart, National Association of County Veteran Service Officers, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs.
