Minorities Struggling with Mental Health
July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month. Estimates are that 1 in 5 minorities struggle with depression, which is the leading cause of disability in the United States. Depression is a severe condition that negatively affects how people think, feel, and function in their daily lives.Importantly, statistics show only about 25 percent of minorities who have major depression or other mental health disorders receive the medical help they need. We want to invite individuals caring for a loved one with depression to visit us at Caregiving Network, where you can personally and privately connect with other caregivers experiencing the same issue with their loved one. Together, by sharing information, lessons learned, and support, we can make a difference.Caregiving Network: Completely free, secure, and private.
