Congratulations to our video contest winner
Congratulations to our winner, Nico Smith! We are sending him $500 in prize money. The contest amount doubled last week since we had no winning submissions the week before.
His winning entry was a caregiver on a horse galloping to call for all caregivers to help people in need. Nico is autistic, and as you can see, his special talents include clever animation.
Nico plans on getting a job as an animator and we hope this attention will help him get one step closer to his dream of being able to work as an animator at a production studio.
As an autistic adult, he has been on a journey to find the right fit in a company that understands that their inclusion will allow him to bring unique talents to his work.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our contest. We loved the submissions and were surprised that more Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok members did not participate.
We’re looking forward to seeing more from you this week and are so grateful to everyone who shared their stories. You do not need professional equipment either—just use whatever device works best at home.
This week, our video contest continues with a $250 prize with a $25 gift certificate for the first 10 entries. We can’t wait to see what you create. Visit our contest at caregivingnetwork.com/video-contest for more information and to submit your videos.
We hope to see more amazing submissions in the future! In December, we will post the winners and ask you to vote for the grand prize of $5,000 for the best video.
It’s amazing how many people don’t know about the struggles caregivers face, because they’re not always visible – but these individuals do so much more that they deserve recognition and a place to tell their stories.
Thank you for supporting us in sharing caregivers’ thoughts and feelings across all significant social platforms and hundreds of Facebook and Linkedin Groups.
